Aims Of The Trust

The Trustees have drawn up a number of Aims that they hope will provide the opportunity for women to enjoy and appreciate the Land:-

* To safeguard the Land as an ecological and conservation project, where women tend the land and are able to renew and rediscover their ancient relationship with the earth and with nature.
* To plant the Land with local species of tree, shrubs, perennials and wild flowers, including traditional Cornish varieties now becoming extinct.
* To provide facilities for disabled women, including accessability by wheelchair to woodland and garden.
* To provide an area of natural habitat where women and children may come to learn about nature and ecology
* To provide safe space for women to have meditation and relaxation outdoors in an environment of peace and beauty.
* To incorporate small garden plots for local women and children to grow their own foods and to learn gardening techniques. To include a raised bed system for diabled women and a scented garden for those who are blind.
* To provide a safe and peaceful temporary sanctuary to which women may come for respite from violence/abuse in the home, streets, workplace, towns.
* To provide a seed bank of rare species and local vegetable varieties.
* To make a water/bog garden to encourage wetland species of bird, plant, insect, etc.
